FAQ

What makes Timpanogos Cyclery unique from other bike shops?
The quality, experience and professionalism you get from our shop helps us stand out.  Also, the variety of bikes we offer gives our customers a nice selection to choose from.

Who are the typical customers you see coming into your shop?

We see all types of people come to our shop, but our typical customers are families and enthusiasts. The most common age group would be 20-50 years old.

What tips do you give beginning bikers?
Buy a quality bike from a bike shop and maintain it regularly.  Bikes from department or the big box stores are not built and designed to last very long and cannot be tuned up and maintained. These bikes are only designed to last 3-4 months and when something goes wrong, you just throw them away and start new.

What bikes are the most popular?
We sell a lot of both mountain and road bikes. Also, bikes for commuting have really picked up over the last year or two.

How should I take proper care of my bike?
Proper bike care starts with storing the bike in a clean and dry environment where it will not be exposed to extreme temperatures or any elements.  A clean bike is a happy bike. Keeping your bike clean and lubed is the most regular and best maintenance, but be careful with the water. Stay away from using hoses and spraying the bike off with water, the water can wear away necessary grease and lubricants that can affect the bike’s performance.

What’s the perk of purchasing a bike from Timpanogos Cyclery?

When a customer buys a bike from us they receive one-year of free basic tune-ups on that bike.  We stand behind our products and are always willing to help you find the right product for you.

Do you service department store bikes?
No, we don’t service those bikes. The reason is that they are not built to last very long and cannot be tuned up or maintained. It’s worth the investment to buy a quality bike that will last.
